We are Burton Upon Trent's Independent Diagnostics Centre.

We specialise in diagnostic services and recognising that technology evolves very quickly we have heavily invested in our diagnostics equipment; most of which is the same as used by the main dealers such as Ford, Vauxhall, Jaguar, Mazda, Land Rover, Renault, Saab and many more.

As vehicles become more and more sophisticated and rely on computerised management systems for everything whether it be engine, gearbox, air-conditioning, steering, brakes, traction control, etc etc... they become impossible to repair without specialist equipment and expertise. With the investment that we have made in specialist equipment and the latest diagnostics data MAC Motors Limited can resolve auto electrical and technical problems others can't; earning us a good reputation with our professionalism and level of service no matter whether the job is big or small it will be diagnosed correctly and efficiently.

We also perform key programming and radio decoding.

Mis-aligned wheels wear tyres out very quickly, they can make a vehicle dangerous to drive and increase fuel consumption.

MAC Motors use modern accurate laser equipment to measure and rectify alignment faults such as tracking, camber and castor to both front and rear wheels. Over the years, a properly aligned vehicle can add thousands of miles to tyre life. Fuel mileage increases as rolling resistance decreases. Accurate alignment equipment sets all four wheel parallel, which, along with the correct tyre inflation, minimizes the rolling resistance. Have you any Wheel Alignment problems...

Air Conditioning & Climate Control

We don't just re-gas air con systems, we diagnose and repair system faults which include; leak testing, electrical malfunction, sanitising/odour removal, condensers, compressors, receiver dryers etc... In normal running conditions an air conditioning system can lose up to 15% of it's coolant every year, therefore even a 3 year old car, coming up for its first MOTcouldy have lost almost half it's coolant. This can impact on the performance of the system and subsequently cause damage to some component parts. Regularly servicing air conditioning systems can reduce that wear and help to avoid potentially costly repair bills.

Regular system servicing ensures the system is full of coolant, identifies any leaks, pressurises the system correctly and ensures that hoses, seals and pipes are all in full working order.

Tyres, Batteries & Exhausts

We are able to provide all the main brands of tyres including MICHELIN, BF GOODRICH, BRIDGESTONE, DUNLOP, PIRELLI, GOODYEAR, CONTINENTAL, YOKOHAMA, TOYO as well as a large stock of budget brands, on a full range of sizes for cars, motorcycles, 4x4's and light commercial vehicles. We can also supply and fit exhausts for cars and light commercial vehicles, as well as some budget makes we can also source

TIMAX and ARVIN. All the exhausts that MAC Motors supply and fit come with guarantees.

Number Plates

MAC Motors are very pleased to be able to supply Number Plates from Signam Limited; the leading name in quality road legal number plates. With 1000's of different styles available, all the plates are usually on a very quick turnaround from order to receipt and comply with all the DVLA requirements; including motorcycle and imports with or without flags.

Please note that in order to obtain a Number Plate you will need to provide verification of your personal details and proof of entitlement to the registration mark that you require.

Vehicle Recovery

At MAC Motors we aim to provide our customers with the highest standards of service; should the need arise our recovery service is available to transport any un-driveable or broken down vehicles by transporter / trailer.   We do not offer a roadside servicing facility as experience tells us that we can offer you a better quality of service back at our workshop where the latest diagnostics and repair equipment is available.

We operate three courtesy cars subject to availability.  

Vehicles may also be collected or delivered by prior arrangement; all our vehicles are well maintained, they will be clean and tidy  and prepared for your comfort so you can enjoy your loan car whilst your own car is being repaired.
